Business-focused lunchtime activities:
Make our downtown location a lunchtime destination on Friday. Grab a quick bite from the Dogs for Dollars gourmet hot dog stand outside the Main entrance, then come in to tour the bright, comfortable, renovated downtown library. Learn about online business resources to which the Library subscribes for individual and business cardholders. These can be accessed anywhere in the world with an internet connection and an EPL library card. Beginning with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 10 a.m., we will focus on local businesses, featuring demonstrations, tours, and even a drawing to win a Nook! Join in our renovation celebration and check out everything the Library has available to assist the business community in meeting its goals for success!

Community and family activities:
Join in the celebration of the freshly renovated, bright and comfortable Elkhart Public Library downtown location. Library tours, storytimes with Mr. Chuck, a Scavenger Hunt, information about family history resources, demonstrations of eBook and eAudiobook downloads, Wii gaming for teens and tweens, free book drawings every 15 minutes and a Nook grand prize are just some of the fun. Learn about the online resources accessible to children and parents from anywhere, with an internet connection and an EPL library card. (Think homework assistance!) Don’t miss the face painting, balloon sculpting and juggling with Wicked Jester Entertainment from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. either! Oh, and look for Uncle Sam the Stiltman amidst the Amazing Race crowd in downtown Elkhart as well. Bring the family and celebrate with us!
