Enjoy a walk this fall while listening to a great book. This is Roaming Readers by Elkhart Public Library and the Elkhart County Parks.

Beginning Sept. 1, a new reading challenge starts. Instead of being for children, like our signature Summer Reading Challenge, this one is just for the grown-ups. Win prizes for listening to books throughout September and October.

Get outside and read!

All your listening can be tracked on our Beanstack app, available for free in your device’s app store. With Beanstack, you’ll earn prize entries for the number of minutes you listen and each activity you complete.

EPL is partnering with Elkhart County Parks for Roaming Readers. Badges are earned for each different county park you walk in while listening to a book. There are extra badges to be earned for requesting a book through Matchbook or signing up for our NextReads newsletters, which let you know about the books coming out in your favorite genres.

Participants can listen to any audiobook they please.

And I can win prizes for this?

Someone will walk their way into a $100 gift card from Shoe Carnival. And someone else will walk away with a prize pack from Elkhart County Parks.

The prize will be drawn at the end of the contest, which runs through Oct. 31.

Sign up on the Beanstack app and get your walking shoes ready and earbuds charged for Roaming Readers!
