Breckenridge, a member of the St. James AME Church and an associate counsel for Miles Laboratories Inc., was nominated by his church for the award. He is active in church affairs and is a former trustee. He also is president of the Indiana NAACP and is a board member of the local NAACP and the Elkhart Urban League. He received a plaque from Kiwanians Tuesday. 5/5/1983
