Alfred Free (right) received the Elkhart Lions Club Citizen of the Year award during ceremonies Saturday at the club's annual officer installation dinner. Free was president of the Lions Club in 1960-61 and started the club's eye bank committee which prompted the formation of the Indiana Lions Eye Bank. He initiated the banquet for the blind in Elkhart and helped to form the Cystic Fibrosis Society of Elkhart. 6/6/1983 With Warren Breniman (left)
