Staff members of WSJV Channel 28 and WTRC 1340 AM radio provided the only emergency broadcast service to the Elkhart - St. Joseph disaster area on the night of the storm. Their mobile units were out almost 68 hours bringing information to listeners and viewers in the storm vicinity.
