Diecisiete niños de un mismo salón desaparecen de sus casas a las 2:17 de la mañana y nunca regresan. El hecho provoca caos en el pueblo y desesperación entre los padres, quienes comienzan a sospechar que la maestra de sus hijos es la responsable.
A lo largo de la película seguimos la historia de siete personajes, cada uno con un papel personal en la búsqueda y desaparición de los niños.
Recomiendo esta película a quienes desean salir de su zona de confort y explorar nuevos matices dentro del género del terror. Es fácil seguir la trama gracias a los diferentes puntos de vista de los personajes. Aunque está catalogada como terror, yo la definiría más como horror corporal, un subgénero caracterizado por escenas sangrientas. Si crees que puede darte demasiado miedo, invita a un amigo o amiga a verla contigo.

Ambientada en Dinamarca, esta película invita a reflexionar sobre temas complejos y sensibles desde distintas perspectivas. Está completamente en danés, pero vale la pena verla aunque sea con subtítulos.

Yôsuke vive sin rumbo hasta que conoce a Natsuki, quien cuida de su sobrino Kenji tras la muerte de su hermana mayor. La vida de Yôsuke cambia al convivir con ellos y experimentar por primera vez lo que significa el cariño familiar. Pero la felicidad se quiebra cuando Natsuki sale una tarde por un helado y nunca regresa, dejando a Yôsuke a cargo del niño.
Esta novela gráfica (manga) es ideal para los amantes de las historias de la vida cotidiana. Si nunca has leído un manga, este es un excelente punto de partida: su trama es sencilla de seguir y los personajes están bien definidos. Con el tiempo justo, puedes leerlo de una sola sentada.
El Eternauta (1969) – Héctor Germán Oesterheld
Una nevada en Buenos Aires provoca la muerte instantánea de millones de personas. Pronto se revela que se trata de una invasión alienígena que arrasa con América Latina, mientras las grandes potencias se mantienen al margen.
Juan, su familia y tres amigos sobreviven al desastre y deben adaptarse a un nuevo y hostil estilo de vida. Cuando un autobús lleno de “voluntarios” llega para combatir la invasión, descubren que no están solos.
Esta adaptación del clásico cómic argentino es más breve, pero mantiene una gran riqueza de detalles. Se recomienda leer la obra original antes de esta versión, aunque si no tienes mucho tiempo, esta es una excelente introducción a la ciencia ficción latinoamericana. La edición original está disponible en la biblioteca bajo el título “El Eternauta.”

Seventeen children from the same classroom disappear from their homes at 2:17 a.m. and never return. This event causes chaos in the town and anxiety among parents, who begin to suspect that the children’s teacher is responsible.
Throughout the movie, we follow the story of seven characters, each with a personal role in the search for and disappearance of the children.
I recommend this movie for those who want to step out of their comfort zone and explore new aspects of the horror genre. The story is easy to follow thanks to the different perspectives of the characters. Although it is categorized as horror, I would define it more as body horror, a subgenre characterized by graphic and bloody scenes. If you think it might be too scary, invite a friend to watch it with you.

If you’re looking for action-packed and entertaining films, this collection is perfect. While James can be arrogant at times, his transformation is impressive. Whether you’ve seen other James Bond actors or are watching for the first time, this modern interpretation by Daniel Craig is worth seeing.

This graphic novel (manga) is perfect for fans of slice-of-life stories. If you’ve never read a manga before, this is an excellent starting point: the plot is easy to follow, and the characters are well-established. With the right time, you can read it in a single sitting.
El Eternauta (1969) – Héctor Germán Oesterheld
A snowfall in Buenos Aires kills millions instantly. It is soon revealed to be an alien invasion spreading across Latin America, while global powers do nothing to help.
Juan, his family, and three friends survive and must adapt to this new, hostile way of life. They believe they are the only survivors until a bus of “volunteers” arrives to fight the invasion.
This adaptation of the classic Argentine comic is shorter but rich in detail. It is recommended to read the original first, but if you are short on time and enjoy sci-fi comics, this is a great starting point. The original edition is available at the library under “El Eternauta.”
