Things to do in Elkhart during Spring Break
Get out of the house and into the library for fun over Spring Break 2024.
Elkhart Public Library locations have activities from art to LEGOs to movies. We’re sure to have something for everyone in the home.
All week
Book Scavenger Hunt at Osolo – Pop into Osolo anytime to pick up the clues to complete the book scavenger hunt and pick out a prize.
Chocolate Chip Taste Test at Dunlap – Pick up a kit at the Dunlap desk and take it home to taste-test the chocolate chips. When you return your completed form, we’ll tell you which brand you prefer.
Spring Break Boredom Busters at Cleveland – Come into the branch for a different activity each day and a movie showing on Friday.
Spring Break LEGO City at Dunlap – All week Dunlap will have LEGOs out for a continual build. Add on to the city and see how big we can make it.
Monday
LEGO Challenge – Downtown hosts its monthly LEGO build competition at 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday
Storytime with Miss Janell at Osolo – Stories and activities led by Miss Janell at 10 a.m.
Anime Club Downtown – Teens connect and watch anime and manga while enjoying Japanese snacks at 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday
Storytime with Miss Debbie at Dunlap – With two times (9:30 and 10:30 a.m.) to choose from, there will be plenty of room for everyone.
Bluey Party at Osolo – Bluey is lost in the library. Help us find her. The fun starts at 10 a.m.
Toddler Dance Party Downtown – In place of Baby and Me, we’re inviting older siblings to join us for dancing and noise-making at 10 a.m.
Teen Movie Matinee Downtown – Enjoy free popcorn and a showing of “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” at 2 p.m. The movie is rated PG-13 and is 2 hours and 37 minutes long.
Thursday
Little Artists Downtown – Join us at 10 a.m. to create projects with a variety of materials.
Osolo LEGO Club – Join the build starting at 3:30 p.m.
Mosaic Art for Teens Downtown – Starting at 4:30 p.m., we’ll use small materials to create a big picture.
Friday
Spring Break Books and Boots at Ox Bow County Park – At 1 p.m. Miss Debbie and Miss Sarah will lead a short book discussion and a nature activity. Reading is not required.
Saturday
Peeps Diorama Contest Work Day at Cleveland – Come anytime for a build day for our Peeps Diorama Contest. We’ll have the materials, just supply the idea for your scene.
