Monarch butterflies to star at Dunlap Tuesday

Stop in and see the butterflies at Dunlap Tuesday during their Butterflies Galore Open House.

At 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, the Elkhart County Parks will be giving a presentation about the Monarch butterflies that the library has and then attendees can see them up close on the counter.

Dunlap keeps some caterpillars on the counter in a habitat friendly box until they turn into butterflies and are eventually released.

Butterflies are important pollinators for the ecosystem. This is a great chance to learn more about these beautiful bugs and see them up close.
