Elkhart residents told us what they wanted to see in our four neighborhood branches. The ideas became part of our current strategic plan, and informed the decisions we made in planning a $4.5 million project.
From today through 2022-23, branches will be the scene of big changes leading to friendly spaces for studying, collaborating, and sharing. Collections will be easier to browse, and programs will be easier to attend.
Check back often for project updates, including closing dates and alternate services.
Please note, some items in the EPL collection assigned to specific branches may be unavailable for checkout during construction.
Dunlap (now open for all services)
Dunlap branch has reopened, though you may notice we’re still waiting for some final touches. The drop box is back in its familiar spot, and we’ll still be adding an outdoor garden and seating areas.
Cleveland (now open for all services)
Cleveland branch renovations are complete, though you may notice we’re still waiting for some finishing touches. The outside drop box has been returned to its original location.
Osolo (now open for all services)
Osolo branch renovations are complete, though you may notice we’re still waiting for some shelving markers and other small improvements. The outside drop box has been returned to its original location.
Pierre Moran (currently closed)
Work has commenced at Pierre Moran, with a reopening expected later in 2022. The building is receiving an addition to the south side of the original structure for extra program space and study areas. Visitors are encouraged to use the downtown location at 300 S. Second St. during Pierre Moran’s closing.
