When Elkhart Public Library closes for holidays, due dates on checked-out items are extended for one bonus day. We’re closed on the following days:

• New Year’s Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Eve
• Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve

Additionally, the library closes on two other days each year for employee training – one in April, the other in October. Those closings will be announced closer to the dates of training.
